  it`s christmas eve here in australia today and i wish all of you a very merry xmas simply because i can without being zapped , or hauled into a jc committee.. it doesn`t matter whether you are religious or not , i`m not now , however i can appreciate and respect those who do.. so whatever your views on the matter have a great day and enjoy the holidays in whatever grabs your fancy.. and if jw`s do come knocking on your door as they do this festive season wish them a merry xmas and anti-witness to them ..

  Why I get out of bed every morning.

  because someone needs my help.. as a jw -- you can relate -- i truly believed that what everyone really needed was the kingdom hope and its eventual reality.

  you know, the hope that does not lead to disappointment.

  of course, if anyone needed practical help with a task or getting through some difficulty, most of us realized that was part of being a helpful and caring friend (or family member).. at nearly seventy years of age -- no, i didn't enter the promised kingdom in my healthful and vibrant youth -- my getting out of bed isn't so bad.

  Last week I went to a job, such as I do every morning.

  There was no heat in the building. Somehow, the "keep full" arrangement with the propane company had been overlooked. By the end of the day, the tank was filled and the heat back on.

  A little thing, but the owners were pleased I got up that morning!
